Penalties lose Kelso points

Kelso United1

United lost to promotion-chasing Ormiston at Woodside Park and are still searching for league points to aid their climb off the bottom of the table.

The Tweedsiders’ last league points date back to October, but there are signs that the team are improving under recently-reappointed coach Prof Blaikie.

The visitors went in front with a penalty from Craig Wojtowycz.

Striker Declan Quinn netted the second before Andrew Oldham struck for the home team. However, another penalty by Wojtowycz sealed the game for the East Lothian side. To add to United’s woes, keeper Elliott Turnbull was sent off late on for a foul on Liam Skinner.
