A goal two minutes from the end of the second period of extra time earned Peebles a place in the final of the Sanderson Cup.

Rowan Baillie opened the scoring for the Tweeddale outfit midway through the first half and shortly afterwards Scott Inglis slotted away a second.

Within a minute, Rovers reduced the leeway when Sean Clarke tucked home a Michael Moir pass.

Following the red carding of Peebles man Craig Entwistle during the early part of the second period, Rovers snatched an equaliser.

The home defence only partially cleared a Craig McCutcheon corner kick and the ball broke to Colin Turnbull, who found the net with a well-struck shot. With no more scoring, the cup tie went into extra time, during which Peebles got their late winner through Ben Brown.
