THE 3G Arena at Netherdale, Galashiels, will host the first ever Lowland League Cup Final this Sunday.

The tournament involved three geographically-split sections played over the festive period and it was Preston Athletic and University of Stirling who emerged victorious from the semi-finals stage.

It promises to be an entertaining final with both teams enjoying successful campaigns in this year’s inaugural Lowland League.

Among the visiting football dignitaries to Galashiels will be SFA president Campbell Ogilvie.

Gala Dean JFC have kindly agreed to supply the ball boys for the cup final and a souvenir programme produced by Gala Fairydean Rovers secretary Graeme McIver will be on sale.

Admission to the 3G Arena is £5 for adults and the cup final kicks off at 3pm. There will be extra time and penalties if required.
