Netherdale set for footy fest

The 11th Borders Sport and Leisure Festival of Football will take place at the 3G Arena Netherdale in Galashiels on Sunday, June 7.

Approximately 112 teams from across the region featuring players aged 6-12 are expected to take part.

The festival also includes the Scottish Borders Junior Football Association finals in the 13s, 14s, 15s and 17s age brackets, which are held annually in honour of Selkirk teenager Cameron Gunn, who died while playing football aged 19 in 1991.

This year’s event will also include a disability football festival and a girls-only section.
