There were two out of three wins for the Hawick amateur outfits last weekend in their respective matches.
Division B leaders Legion opened the scoring against Linton Hotspur when Liam Lavery polished off a good build-up move.
Andrew McFarlane got his name on the scoresheet after being set up by Scott Duncan. After Hotspur had reduced the leeway, Legion regained their two-goal lead through a Duncan strike.
Cashing in on a Legion defensive error, Hotspur duly pulled a goal back, but in-form Legion had the last say when Lavery netted a penalty. Final score: Linton Hotspur 2 Hawick Legion 4.
Hawick Legion Rovers got off to a whirlwind start in their Division C clash against Kelso Thistle by scoring thrice during the opening quarter of an hour.
Chay Caldwell, Sean Clarke and Jory Robertson were all on target in the early stages.
Although on top, Rovers did not find the net again until the second half when Michael Moir put away a Caldwell lay-off.
Final score: Kelso Thistle 0 Hawick Legion Rovers 4.
Up in the top flight things did not go so smoothly for Hawick Waverley against Gala Fairydean Rovers.
Aided by a Des Sutherland hat-trick, Rovers breezed to a merited victory.
Waverley netted first thanks to a Jordan Yardley strike but Gala soon got on level terms, and netted a further two goals before half-time.
Rovers extended their lead after the break, before Declan Hogg reduced the leeway with a raging free kick that zipped into the back of the net.
After Hogg had hit the bar with another free kick, Gala made it a nap hand. Final score: Gala Fairydean Rovers 5 Hawick Waverley 2.
