Hawick United kept the pressure on the top teams in the Border Amateur B division when cruising to a 5-2 victory over Duns Reserves last Saturday.

The Dingers took an early lead but the hosts stuck in and walked away with a relatively easy victory. Hawick’s Robbie Kelly (pictured) celebrated playing his last game for the Hawick side before moving to New Zealand, by netting twice with United’s other goals coming from Kevin Strathdee, Ross Scott and Terry Storrie. Ethan Pollard opened Duns’ account with Luke Turner adding another in the second half.

The result moves United up to third place on the league table with Duns struggling in ninth from ten teams.
