Eightsome sends Eyemouth reeling

Eyemouth United 0

GEORGE RILEY reports from Woodside Park

KELSO striker Des Burnett scored five times in an eight goal demolition of Eyemouth.

In their final game of the league season, Kelso found the net after four minutes – Burnett scoring from the spot after Aaron Swailes was upended by Dean Avery.

The Tweedsiders added to their score in the 15th minute through Jonny Waugh’s left-foot shot.

Twenty minutes later, Burnett was fouled in the box by defender Richard Baxendale and netted his second penalty.

Five minutes before half-time, Kelso scored a fourth as Swailes pounced on a loose ball and four minutes later, Damien McNulty’s free kick was headed into his own net by Baxendale.

And three more strikes by Burnett in the second half more than sealed the win for Prof Blaikie’s men.
