East of Scotland: Josh Morris scores six as Hawick crush Coldstream 9-1

Former Berwick Rangers striker Josh Morris scored six goals as Hawick Royal Albert crushed Coldstream 9-1 in their first game at Albert Park for five months.

In what was Hawick’s first home back since the ground was flooded in December, the Royalists ran out convincing winners by humilating their Borders rivals.

Kris Mitchell was also on the scoresheet with two goals, Gavin Pettigrew grabbing the other.

Elsewhere, Peebles Rovers came from 3-1 down at Whitestone Park to beat Duns 4-3.

Eyemouth United take on Leith Athletic in the Alex Jack Cup final at Coldstream’s Home Park today. Kick-off is 2pm.
