Civil Service Strollers 4
EoS PREMIER DIVISION
IT WAS all Civil Service in this league clash at Yarrow Park allowing the visitors to leap-frog their hosts on the lower rungs of the league table.
Assistant coach Davie Main told TheSouthern: “Both teams turned up on Saturday knowing what they had to do and the simple fact is that they did it and we just didn’t compete.”
Selkirk held their own during the opening half.
Ross Millar opened the scoring for the visitors on 14 minutes before Lee Stephen equalised with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.
Half time score: 1-1.
However, Strollers dominated the second half. An uncharacteristic poor clearance by John Dodds in the Selkirk goal led to a second for Millar and 10 minutes later the big striker notched his hat-trick from close range.
Replacement Gary McColl added a fourth in the dying minutes.
