Criminal defence scuppers Souters

WITH most of the Lowland League outfits on cup duty at the weekend, Selkirk’s game against East Kilbride was the sole fixture.

In a fashion described as “criminal” by Selkirk coach Mike McKinnon, Selkirk conceded three goals without reply over the 90 minutes, in almost identical circumstances.

“Three goals from three corners tells its own story,” he told The Southern.

“The players just didn’t go with their man.”

z Vale of Leithen progressed to the third round of the Image Printers Cup, beating Ormiston 2-1, with Keith Lough and John Ross Kerr providing the goals.
