Without a fixture for the past two weeks, Selkirk are poised to return to action on Saturday, hitting the road to take on Preston Athletic in a Lowland League match, writes John Slorance.
Selkirk manager Steve Forrest told The Southern: “We have been training hard and our fitness is of a good level.
“It’s been frustrating not having had a game, especially for the players. We lost 4-3 to Preston at home and could well have got something out of it.”
Selkirk are without the suspended Kevin Blair.
Vale of Leithen have a home clash with Whitehill Welfare and manager Chic McAleavey said: “All games are tough, but this one is going to be extra tough.
“I watched them beat East Kilbride quite convincingly on Saturday.”
Vale are at full strength.
Gala Fairydean Rovers host Stirling University.
And in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup, Hawick Royal Albert travel to face Edinburgh University at Peffermill without he suspended Sean Loughlin.
Kelso United also visit the capital, tackling Tynecastle, with goalkeeper Elliot Turnbull and midfielder Grant Gass suspended.
