Border Amateur League round up: Stow and Gordon win promotion

Stow clinched promotion to Division A with a 5-0 win over Selkirk Victoria last night.

Stow triumphed heavily in the match, with the goals coming from Jordan Steele, Johnny Crawford and a spectacular hat-trick from Martin Gibson.

At half time, Stow had a four goal advantage and there was no way back for The Vics.

A shock came in Division A as Gala Rovers were defeated by Greenlaw, which meant they have to wait another game to seal the title.

Gala now need a win against Chirnside United tomorrow to claim the division.

In Division C, Gordon won promotion in their first season back in the Border Amateur League after Tweedmouth Amateur Colts lost 3-1 to Earlston Rhymers.

Second placed Biggar are still favourites to win the league, sitting three points behind Gordon with three games in hand.
