Bowls: Colonials on the rampage
In the latest Ettrick Forest Roond the Stick pub league match the Colonials all but guaranteed a second title by comprehensively defeating the Leafers 8-0.
It will take some amazing results in the final weeks of the season to dislodge the league leaders.
In another match, with the last bowl of the last end of the final tie, Ettrick Forest snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and triumphed 5-3 over the Yarrow Cats. This result moved Ettrick Forest into third position and the three points for the Cats lifted them off the bottom.
The next game pits second place Neverwillbees against Yarrow Cats.
