Police seize drugs from car in Galashiels

Police seized a large amount of class B drugs, worth just under £5,000, from a car in Galashiels on Monday.

A police spokesperson told us: “On Monday, February 8, whilst conducting a routine patrol on the A7 in Galashiels, officers seized a large quantity of Class B drugs with an approximate value of £4,700 while undertaking a routine stop of a vehicle.

“As a result of the recovery, a 27-year-old female was charged with drug-related offences and released to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court at a later date.
