Great opportunity for charity run

The Friends of the Borders General Hospital (BGH) are again entering a team of runners in the Great North Run, on September 18 from Newcastle to South Shields.

It is the biggest half-marathon in the world and it is difficult to get a place. We still have some vacancies and would like to hear from anyone who interested in joining our runners.

The friends’ appeal this year is for the palliative care unit at the BGH. and we hope that everyone running for us raise at least £300. In the past, this has not proved a problem and our runners have regularly raised about £10,000 between them.

Anyone interested should contact me as soon as possible.
