THE spring/summer season is about to begin at Hawick’s acclaimed Wilton Lodge Park with the re-opening of the cafe and a range of recreation activities this Sunday.
The facility, run by Christina Huggan, will be open for business from 10am till 5pm daily until mid October. Apart from providing food and beverages, the cafe is also the booking office for putting, bowls, crazy golf, croquet and a bouncy castle (weekends and school holidays only).
The park, which covers 107 acres of land, also includes tennis courts, a walled garden with aviary, a children’s play area, a riverside walk, the Millennium Nature Trail, the museum and spring and summer bedding displays.
