THREE Borders groups have received more than £18,000 between them from the Voluntary Sector Development Fund.
Eildon Housing Association will get £5,320, while two strands of the Garvald Group, Garvald West Linton Ltd and Garvald Home Farm, will receive £7,800 and £5,000 respectively.
South of Scotland MSP Christine Grahame has welcomed the cash boosts. She said: “Both Garvald and Eildon Housing have a key role to play in ensuring that our most vulnerable people receive the high-quality support and care they need and I am delighted that they both met the eligibility criteria for funding.”
The fund aims to help voluntary organisations meet registration requirements set by the Scottish Social Services Council.
The money can be used directly to fund or support new training and development needs associated with those requirements.
