TROUBADOUR Jim Malcolm entertains The String Jam Club this month.
Travelling the world with his guitar, harmonicas and humour, Jim sings traditional songs of Scotland as well as his own material.
As lead singer with the multi-award-winning band Old Blind Dogs for eight years, Jim appeared at many festivals in North America and Europe, recording three studio albums and a live CD.
Now a solo performer with 10 CDs to his credit, Jim has featured many times on radio and television on both sides of the Atlantic and his highlight of 2011 was to perform some of his songs with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at a sold-out concert in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.
Allie Fox of the String Jam Club added: “We are delighted to welcome back this very special and highly-respected artist for his third visit to the club.”
Jim Malcolm is at the Salmon Inn, Galashiels, on Saturday, April 28. Doors open at 7.15pm and tickets are £8 from the Salmon or on the door. Phone 01750 720538 for further information.
