Christine Grahame MSP has said she was encouraged to learn that First Scotland may be prepared to revert the 62 service back to Edinburgh bus station following meetings with the managing director of the eastern division, Paul McGowan.
In April last year First changed the 62A/62B/X62 timetable, sparking a deluge of complaints and prompting Ms Grahame to take up the matter on their behalf.
The MSP said: “From reading the comments it was clear to me that, with the exception of the improved frequency, the majority of people were not satisfied with the new service. The most important single factor was the withdrawal of the 62 service from Edinburgh bus tation.”
Ms Grahame added: “First is [now] looking to achieve the use of the bus station and Mr McGowan is currently investigating this option. I will continue to press for the best service on the 62 route and am happy to hear from constituents.”
