Signal problems halt services on Borders Railway

A signalling problem has stopped train running on the new Borders Railway between Tweedbank and Newcraighall.

The problem is with signals at Gorebridge and buses are replacing trains while the fault is rectified.

Disruption began shortly after noon and trains are not expected to run again until 3pm.

The service is operated by ScotRail and has only been operational since September 6.
