The sun shone, the turnout was impressive and fun was had at the charity Family Fun Day in Lauder. The event was organised in aid of Bliss Scotland, the special care baby charity.
A Scavenger Hunt around Lauder saw 64 teams racing against the clock to find the answers and items required in order to win the prize of a photo session with local McBeth Photography. Other activities included a silent auction, a dads and mums’ static bike challenge, bouncy castle and rugbytots. Food was served by Rosie’s Catering and there was singing from Lauderdale Community Choir and Duncan Moore playing his bagpipes.
We would like to say thank you to everyone who attended, as well as to the volunteers who made the event possible. We raised more than £2,500.

I would like to thank everyone for their support, help and donations at our coffee morning in Bowden on Saturday – thanks to their generosity we raised £340 for the centre.
Thanks also to those who took part in the Nifty Fifty game which raised just over £100 for the centre and congratulations to the £50 winner, Mrs Gordon from Jedburgh.
