SCOTTISH Borders Council is hosting a series of exhibitions in the coming weeks.
Fabric of Life, a touring exhibition, explores the once thriving textiles industries in the Borders, Lothians and Fife. It is at the Borders Textile Towerhouse in Hawick from Monday until April 30 and at Old Gala House from June 18 to August 20.
Borders artists Jane Jackson and Margaret Kenny display some of their work at Coldstream Museum from Friday, April 1.
Both use traditional techniques – Margaret works with recycled fabrics while Jane uses Harris tweed.
Both will give free demonstrations of their work at the museum, Jane on Saturday, April 9 and Margaret on Friday, April 15. To book a place, phone 01890 882630. The exhibition runs until May 28.
