Former students on the Borders College Preparation for the Armed Services course returned to their alma mater to deliver presentations and lessons to current students.
Lance Corporal Connor Stanners, Lance Corporal Connor Wilson and Private Shaun Gibson – all from 1 Scots – spent two days instructing current students on the very same college course they had first joined between five and seven years ago.
The soldiers told the current students that their time at the college had been beneficial in their career journey from civilians to professional soldiers.
Students were given an informative presentation on life in 1 Scots and each of the soldiers described their individual roles which include, anti tanks, mortars and reconnaissance.
The students were able to ask questions and find out about the values and standards of the British Army, as well as take part in lessons involving field craft.
Over the two days the students were put through their paces, both in the gym as well as outdoors at Riddell Estates, near St Boswells, and the students thanked the soldiers for their input and for teaching them new skills.
