Marta Axpe, a final-year textiles for design degree student at Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University, took top place in a contest run by the St Boswells-based Border Motor Group to produce an eye-catching wrap for a car to feature in a fashion show at Abbotsford, near Tweedbank.

She got to see her winning entry in use on a Toyota Aygo at Abbotsford last Friday.

“I’m very happy about it.”

“It was very interesting to collaborate on such an opportunity.”

Marta designed the print for the car as part of her surface pattern portfolio for her degree exhibition.

She did prints for garments as her main project.
