OPEN days and tours will take place at the medieval hospital at Soutra Aisle this weekend.
More than 400,000 visitors from 60 countries have visited the archeological site since work began there 26 years ago.
The ancient burial vault and medieval hospital served the sick, poor and wayfarers on the main Anglo-Scottish highway from the 12th to the 17th centuries. Lately, experts have concentrated their focus on the healing plants growing around the site, which match plants recovered from the ancient hospital drains.
