SHORT of a portable lighting rig for your theatre performance, or needing a mobile cinema system to screen a classic film in a village hall? Artstore can help.
Scottish Borders Council is highlighting its community equipment resource on Wednesday and Thursday next week in Selkirk’s Victoria Halls.
Artstore technicians and members of SBC’s arts development team will show how the equipment works andwhat it can be used for and to give organisations the chance to try out some of it. A list of the equipment can be downloaded from www.scotborders.gov.uk
The equipment is available to local arts and cultural groups, schools and private companies taking part in charitable work.
Councillor Vicky Davidson, SBC executive member for culture, sport and community learning said: “Artstore is a fantastic resource available to groups and organisations that need equipment to stage a show, hold an art exhibition or even screen a film in their village hall.
“To make it cost-effective, charges have remained the same for a number of years and we are waiving the subscription fee to join Artstore. This is great opportunity to see what is available and get ideas on how it can help their group or organisation.”
Times are Wednesday 3- 7pm and Thursday 10am-3pm.
