There will be a number of road closures and car park restrictions in force from Saturday onwards.
Those affecting Tweedbank, where the Queen opens the railway on Wednesday, are:
Parking will not be allowed on the following roads from 6am on Saturday, September 5 until 5pm on Wednesday, September 9:
z Tweedbank Drive, Tweedbank – from Essenside Drive to the Melrose Roundabout
z Tweedbank Industrial Estate - West Entrance
z New Tweedbank Station Road
z B6374 – from Lowood Bridge to Waverley Road, Melrose
z Waverley Road, Melrose – from the B6360 to Abbotsford Road, Darnick
z B6360 – from Melrose Roundabout (A6091) to Waverley Road, Melrose.
Tweedbank Industrial Estate West Entrance – from Tweedbank Drive southwards for a distance of 65 metres will be closed to vehicles from 6am on Saturday, September 5 until 5pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2015.
Tweedbank Drive – from Craw Wood to the Tweedbank Industrial Estate East Entrance - will be closed to vehicles on September 5 between 10am and 3.30pm.
Southbound – east on Tweedbank Drive and enter industrial estate from East Entrance.
Northbound – the above in reverse.
Temporary one-way system
The roads in Tweedbank Industrial Estate will have a one way order in place between 6am on Saturday, September 5, and 5pm on Wednesday, September 9.
