And a Jedburgh woman is hoping to help them out with that, providing all the equipment they need for themed teepee slumber parties.
Danielle Robertsontold us: “I’d been living down in Hemel Hempstead, where this is the latest craze. The idea kind of stuck with me when I moved to Jed two years ago and I found that no-one was doing it, so I decided to launch Dream Jeanie.
“I am allowed to do doorstep dropoffs of the equipment for the most amazing themed teepee nights.
“I have a Covid-19 method policy where I have to have all the teepees clean and sterile, not touch them for 72 hours afterwards, and leave a gap between rentals.
“Up to now, we’ve been offering a sibling sleepover, where brothers or sisters can have a slumber party, but it will be going onto a stage where they can have pals over.
“I’m also getting a large teepee, which can fit two children in, so that will be for a kind of best friends sleepover.
“And we are also offering a wedding corner for children ... a kind of VIP section where kids can sort of chill out during the evening celebrations.
“I think kids can get really bored at weddings, so that should be good for both them and their parents.”
The Dream Jeanie events are available to order.
Danielle also caters for adults, too, with a crockery-hire set-up providing afternoon teas for any sort of party, encouraging reuse rather than single use.
She said: “I have a lovely vintage Sprite caravan, so we refurbished her last year, and can rent her out for events from a picnic in the garden to a wedding, whether they want prosecco and strawberries served, or to use it as a pamper parlour for the bride and bridesmaids.
“We have vintage china with many stunning pieces from Colclough, Sadler, Royal Albert, Minton, Aynsley, Paragon and more, which can be hired out as well.”
