It's bake or break time for our Robin

An 11-year-old from Peebles has cooked up a storm in the famous Great British Bake Off tent for CBBC's children's spin-off show, Junior Bake Off.

Robin Dalgleish, a P7 pupil at Priorsford Primary school, began her journey in February when she applied to join the programme – and you can find out how she got on by tuning into CBBC next Monday, November 14, at 5.30pm, or when the show is repeated at 8pm.

Robin has been baking with her mum Fiona since she was three and makes cakes for family, birthdays, her grandparents, wedding anniversaries and anything in between.

Fiona said: “What an adventure it was filming in the tent.

“It was totally amazing, but stressful as well. Robin got to meet presenters Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes, as well as the judges – last year’s Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain and top chef Allegra McEvedy.”

Pastry is Robin’s favourite area, and she loves to make elegant, professional and well- decorated pastries, says her mother.

She has made eclairs, profiteroles, lemon meringue pies, fruit tarts and cheese pastries with puff pastry made from scratch.
