The containers planted will then be sold at the garden centre, with all money going to the charity which supports children spending time in hospices across the UK.

As well as the plantathon challenge, the garden centre will be raising money in the restaurant.

Greenfingers creates inspiring, well-designed outdoor spaces for children to enjoy with family, friends and carers, through play and fun, or therapeutic rest and relaxation.

The charity has created 49 gardens in children’s hospices around the country to date but still has a waiting list of hospices that need their help.
