Dave and his bootcamping Borderers embrark on NHS charity challenge

Borders fitness fanatics are hoping to raise £1,200 for the Borders health board charity The Difference, through a seven day home workout challenge this week.

Personal trainer David McMillan. of St Boswells-based DM Fitness, is encouraging his clients to follow a different strength and cardio circuit shared online each day, running until Monday, May 3.

The Melrose dad, who set up his bootcamp business three years ago and now has around 70 clients across three classess each week as well as individual and group training sessions, all now moved online since the lock down.

His dedicated followers of fitness have already raised £350 in just two days of the challenge.

He said: “Covid-19 has had a detrimental affect on us all and I think we can all agree that the NHS staff have worked tirelessly and done an outstanding job.

“This is our chance to show them our support and give back to them.

“I know we’re all facing our own financial difficulties at the moment but even the smallest of donations will make a huge difference.
