The 43rd Peebles Highland Games will take place on Saturday, September 5, in Haylodge Park, Peebles, from 11am-5pm.
Considered to be the premier games in the Borders, this year’s event will include haggis hurling competitions for adults and children, a whiskey tasting competition, traditional heavy events, Scottish real ale and highland dancing.
Entry for adults is £6, children and concession £4. Car parking is £4.
Secretary Bob Abbot can be contacted on 01721 721738.
As with all organisations, the committee would be happy to have new faces to come and help with the organisation of this yearly event.
Anyone with an interest in pipe bands, highland dancing, friends or parents of competitors, or just outdoor events, would be made most welcome.
Most of the committee activity occurs in the two months before the Games.
