The A699 Selkirk to St Boswells road was closed for almost two hours this morning after a one-vehicle crash.
Emergency services, including fire and ambulance crews from Galashiels and Selkirk were called to the scene near Whitmuir Toll at around 9am.
The road was closed in both directions.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a one-vehicle collision at around 9.05am today on the A699 near Whitmuir Toll, Selkirk.
“Fire and ambulance crews are in attendance.”
Police believed the road would reopen around 10.45am.
