Berwick accountancy firm Greaves West & Ayre (GWA) has confirmed it is to move in to new purpose-built offices on Walkergate.
It will also create six new jobs as part of ambitious expansion plans.
Colin Frame, managing partner, said: “We decided to move to new offices as we have expanded over the recent years and use six offices around Berwick town centre which is not ideal.
“Our new premises will enable us to expand in the future, under one roof, if the need arises so that flexibility is perfect for us.
“As part of our continued growth we will be taking on new employees, who will be a mix of school leavers and graduates, to train in wealth management, tax and accounting.”
GWA also embarked on comprehensive IT training with NECC Training. This is part of its employee development, contributing towards the growth plans and due to the increasing demand for cloud accounting solutions from clients.
Mr Frame explained: “We have grown in a holistic way, in part, I believe, as our partners have a huge amount of experience at their fingertips so we can answer our clients’ questions on everything from wealth management and pensions to tax planning very quickly.
GWA was established in 1919 and now employs over 100 people.
