Nostalgia: a ponding for John
The first St Boswells Midsummer week in June 1986 was an outstanding success.
Particularly enjoyable was the ‘It’s a Knockout’ competition, which featured five teams taking part in a variety of games. And how did the good people of the town thank organiser John Brown for his efforts? By making sure that he got a good soaking, naturally. Luckily John saw the funny side - the glorious weather probably helped, as he didn’t have to wait too long to dry out.
