New chairperson for pet charity

Borders Pet Rescue has a new chairperson following the retirement of Julia Romanes. Ms Romanes has handed over the reins after nearly 10 years of service.

The new chairperson is Earlston resident Beth Duff. A former teacher and business consultant, Beth has experience of working with animals in education and is enthusiastic about her new role. “The charity has a vital role to play in the community and I look forward to working with local groups and businesses as we implement plans to upgrade our facilities and services for rescuing and finding loving new owners for unwanted and homeless cats and dogs”.
