Loyal customer and friend of Borders College, 85-year-old Nan Prior was given a bag full of beauty and hairdressing products on a visit to the establishment.
It was a thank you from the hairdressing, beauty and catering students.
For 30 years, Nan has been turning up at the college every week through term time, either to have her hair styled at the hair salon, enjoy beauty treatments in the beauty salon or eat in the training restaurant or union – often all three in one day.
Nan commented: “It’s simply the best, everyone is so friendly and it’s great chatting to the students and lecturers. And I’ve never had a bad hair do yet!”
She has always enjoyed keeping active in mind and body – and Nan says she owes much of this to coming regularly into the college, firstly at Melrose Road, Galashiels, then when the salons were relocated to the Henderson College in Hawick.
Nan is delighted that the restaurant and salons are now located near to where she lives at the Scottish Borders Campus at Netherdale in Galashiels.
