Melrose horse display

ENTERTAINMENT in the Square continues this Saturday in Melrose with Jedburgh equestrian display troupe Les Amis D’Onno on show.

“We will have knife throwers, and escapologist in a water tank and as whole host of other eye watering entertainment,” said Scottish Borders Council leader David Parker, with the local authority involved as well as Melrose Community Council.

“It is our biggest event yet and it has been an interesting health and safety challenge but it promises to be something very special and it will be fun for all ages and well worth coming to see.”

The events are designed to give local artists an opportunity to perform and also showcase Melrose Square as an entertainment space.

“We hope that visitors to the town and residents will also use the local shops and services in Melrose town centre at the same time,” added Mr Parker.

“The events have proven very popular with tourists and Borders residents.”

Les Amis D’Onno perform from 2pm to 4pm.
