Man and woman charged over attempted murder in Galashiels
A man and woman have been arrested and charged by police over an attack in a Galashiels flat described as a murder attempt.
The pair, a 31-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, are accused of attempted murder, and they are expected to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow, March 20, to have that charge put to them.
They are alleged to have attacked an unnamed 30-year-old man at around 1.30am yesterday at a flat in the town’s Torwoodlee Road.
He sustained serious injuries to his head and torso requiring treatment at the Borders General Hospital in Melrose.
A witness appeal was issued by police a few hours after the alleged murder bid.
