Lindean glass on display

A WORK by Lindean glass artists Annica Sandström and David Kaplan has been unveiled in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

It forms part of a private collection of modern glass gifted to National Museums Scotland by Alan J Poole and the late Dan Klein, world authorities on 20th century studio glass.

Annica and David’s piece , created in 2004 and is a glass and metal panel entitled Mindful.

It is one of more than 140 objects from over 100 makers that will be included inthe exhibition.

Rose Watban, senior curator for applied art and design at National Museums Scotland said: “Annica and David’s work is a beautiful piece and we’re delighted that it will be going on show as part of A Passion for Glass.

“We hope that as many Borderers as possible will come and see this beautiful work, some of which was made right on their doorstep.”

A Passion for Glass runs until September 11 and admission is free to the Chamber Street museum.
