Kerryn Newall, a P3 pupil at St Margaret’s RC Primary in Galashiels, finished runner-up from more than 6,000 entries in a national Health & Hygiene competition to design a poster.

The contest was open to all primary schools in Scotland.

Kerryn’s poster was under the title “Keeping Active”. She drew a picture of someone riding a bike to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Kerryn wins £50 for herself and £250 for St Margaret’s. Also, the picture will be included in a Health & Hygiene calendar to be distributed to schools and government kitchens all over Scotland.
