Discussions at school about raising money for charity sparked Chloe’s decision to support the service that had supported her granny’s treatment following a cancer diagnosis in August 2017.

Chloe set herself the challenge to complete a mini triathlon, where she swam one mile (64 lengths), ran five miles and cycled 10 miles. Lots of support was given to her in many different ways, from friends and family, Kelso swimming pool and the Wobbly Mile running group in St Boswells.

Lorna, Chloe’s mum, told us: “Chloe set out to raise £100 for the charity, but in the end she raised £609.57, which is amazing for a nine-year-old girl.

“As a family were are all very proud of her and she is delighted with her achievements. I hope she can inspire other young people to raise money for such a great charity.”
