The upper part of Oxnam Road will be closed from 8am to 5pm daily from Thursday, August 23 for two days and again from Sunday, August 26, for two days.

While the road will be closed during the first two days of preparation works, Scottish Borders Council says access will be maintained when possible for businesses, the industrial estate and residents of Rowan Road, leading to Alder Avenue, Cheery Dean and Beech Walk.

But there will be no access for vehicles at all on the Sunday and Monday while the resurfacing works take place.
