It's tidy, keep it that way
On Saturday, April 7, the volunteers took part in the annual spring clean as part of the Clean Up Scotland campaign, run by Keep Scotland Beautiful.
They cleared rubbish from the Ladhope Burn, Wilderhaugh and Currie Road areas, and around the steps from High Street Car Park up to Gala Park Court.

“Not only did it leave us with a great deal of satisfaction that we were able to help our community, but it was also great fun ... I’d recommend it to anyone.
“What we want to see now is that these areas stay in the condition in which we left them.
“Selfish and thoughtless behaviour costs local authorities more than £1million a week to deal with and we want the small minority who litter and allow their dogs to foul to change their behaviour.”
