For several centuries the Union Jack has without doubt been the most internationally-famous and widespread flag of all time.
It is an integral part of our history.
If Scotland, in the unlikely event, gains independence, is the Saltire part of the Union Jack to be removed?
This would result in a flag of no history or character.
Perhaps this point alone should be enough reason for people to vote to stay in the Union with England.
