The Peebles branch of the MS Society has teamed up with therapist Mark Stoll and the Soundsphere Holistic Centre therapists to offer local MS sufferers vouchers worth £60 towards the cost of special rate treatments. To launch the scheme, anl open day is being held at the Soundsphere Holistic Centre at Peebles’ Cavalry Park, on Saturday, 11am-4pm .
The branch is also funding trial supervised sessions on a Power Plate exercise machine at the town’s Gytes leisure centre. The Power Plate is designed to make muscles stronger, improve flexibility and circulation and help balance by increasing core stability. Peebles residents suffering from MS who would like to arrange a trial on the Power Plate should contact David Kilgour at the Gytes on 01721 723688. The MS Society will then fund on-going membership for those sufferers who wish to progress with this exercise programme.
