the Melting Pot is back for a third year at the String Jam Club.
Headlined by Clovenfords performer Angus Gunn, the evening is aimed at highlighting young Borders musicians playing original contemporary music.
The club’s Allie Fox enthused: “This event is the perfect showcase for Angus, who made one of his first live performances at the club many years ago when he was only 14.
“Now in his 20s, his assured, intense and unique style and impressive finger-picking never fail to impress and his performances have deservedly won him a very loyal fanbase, both locally and beyond.
“String Jam audiences are listening people who really appreciate good music, and that’s why Angus has always been so well-received here, and why The Melting Pot has now become a very popular annual event.”
Allie added: “Some of the artists on the bill may be new to the club, some already old hands.
“But together they create a vibrant and impressive programme, and one you really shouldn’t miss.”
The Melting Pot is held in the Salmon Inn, Galashiels, on Saturday, July 28, with tickets priced at £7. Phone 01750 720538 for more details.
