In recent years it’s become as much looked-forward to part of Christmas for many, and the John Lewis Christmas advert is back for another year.
The 2015 commercial has been produced in association with Age UK and shines a light on the issue of loneliness at Christmas – and it would bring a tear to a glass eye.
John Lewis customer director Craig Inglis said:”We hope it inspires people to find really special gifts for their loved ones and through our partnership with Age UK, raises awareness of the issue of loneliness amongst older people and encourages others to support in any way they can.”
Set to Oasis track Half the World Away, performed by Norwegian artist Aurora, the latest ad tells the story of a young girl who spies an old man living on the Moon through her telescope.
As has become tradition, the ad then goes on to underline the true meaning of Christmas as the girl tries to wish the man season’s greetings.
If you didn’t catch the ad’s premier on channel 4 last night, we’ll not spoil it for you, check out the video for yourself here.
