Galashiels set to host Borders Walking Festival

There will be 28 walks on offer at this year's festival in September.

The festival is due to run from September 6 to 13, which also coincides with the return of the railway to the Scottish Borders.

The event is supported by Scottish Borders Council, Focus Centre, Galashiels and SEStran.

There are 28 walks planned this year, to meet all abilities.

Each walk will be accompanied by an experienced walk leader with return transport from the registration centre. There will also be a number of evening events to both entertain and educate festival participants and locals including a ceilidh, quiz night and a talk by the Old Gala Club.
