Fundraiser aims to be runaway success

LATER this month, sports students from Borders College will walk and run their way round 5K and 10K courses in Galashiels in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit at the Borders General Hospital.

The students, who are all studying for the Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Sport & Exercise, are organising the events, will take place on March 28, as part of their course work.

There will be trophies for the winners and everyone who takes part in the run will receive a free t-shirt and medal .

There will be spot prizes and a raffle with many prizes up for grabs, including a signed rugby ball, a meal for two at Weatherspoons, Melrose 7s ground tickets, Maid by Marion Hamper, 100% cashmere baby blanket and Ostles Tyres will donate £1 for every tyre sold on the day.
